       Galvanized Steel Strands for OPGW Cables
 

1.Product Introduction

(1)The galvanized steel strands is made of high-quality carbon steel wire rods through a series of processes such as heat treatment, shelling, washing, pickling, washing, solvent treatment, drying, hot-dip galvanizing, and post-treatment.
The steel wire used in the galvanized steel strands has the characteristics of high strength, with the surface galvanizing process, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the steel wire.
The galvanized steel strands is usually used as the earth wire/ground wire of overhead transmission lines, which has the functions of preventing lightning strikes and shunt lightning currents. It can also be used to strengthen the cable structure to bear the weight of the product and the external load.
(2)The galvanized steel strands we provide has four structures: 1×3, 1×7, 1×19, and 1×37, with the following characteristics:
1) The surface of galvanized steel wires in the galvanized steel strands have no defects such as overlap marks, scratches, breaks, flattening and hard bends;
2) The zinc layer is uniform, continuous, bright and does not fall off;
3) The surface of the galvanized steel strands is smooth, clean, free of oil, pollution, water and other impurities;
4) The galvanized steel strands is tightly twisted, without jumpers, s-shape and other defects;
5) The appearance is round with stable size and large breaking force.

1) The product should be stored in a clean, hygienic, ventilated and dry warehouse;
2) The bottom layer of the product storage site should be bottomed with moisture-proof materials to prevent corrosion;
3) The product should be protected from heavy pressure, beating and other mechanical damage during storage and transportation.
